Will I need Council approval?
Regulations vary between Councils and it is necessary for you to enquire with your local authority regarding development consents and building permits that may apply to the construction of a studio on your property. Where Council Approval is required, the Australian Roundhouses™ team will arrange for the preparation of architectural plans and engineer specifications for your submission to Council.
1. CHOOSE YOUR STUDIO SIZE & KIT OPTION
Select your Studio Size – 4.2m, 5.1m, 6.1m or 8.4m diameter. Choose your preferred kit option – Frame Kit, Lock Up Kit, Hardwood Lock Up Kit. Discuss additional extras available with the Australian Roundhouses™ team – i.e. preparation of site-specific architectural plans, thermal efficiency report, engineering specifications, alternative external clad, window/ door options –size and/or styles (awning, timber framed, glazing requirements), insulation, internal Lining, deck frames, awning kits etc.
2. PRELIMINARY PRICING
Australian Roundhouses™ will prepare a quote and email together with a draft studio plan (not for construction purposes). This will assist you in discussions with local authorities to determine whether your studio requires Council approval on your site.
Council regulations vary from site to site and it is the responsibility of the purchaser to obtain all development consents, development approvals, and building permits that may be required by Law.
3. ACCEPTANCE OF PRICING/PREPARATION OF CONTRACTS
Once kit options and pricing are confirmed – Australian Roundhouses™ will prepare a formal quotation and draft contract(s) for acceptance. An invoice for 10% deposit is issued which secures your project in the manufacturing queue.
Studios not requiring Council approval
Standard studio architectural drawings are emailed to you to assist with your application for exemption certificate (where applicable).
Studios requiring Council approval
Customer contact details will be provided to our architect and engineer who will prepare site plan, architectural plan, thermal efficiency report and engineering specification for your submission to Council.
4. COMMENCEMENT OF KIT MANUFACTURE
40% of the project value is required prior to order of materials and an invoice is issued approximately 30 days prior to commencement of manufacture. Materials are then ordered on receipt of funds and the purchaser is advised of estimated manufacture completion date.
Studios requiring Council approval
A copy of Council approved plans is required prior to commencement of manufacture. This ensures the manufacture of your kit components are to plan and comply with any additional Council regulations.
5. COMPLETION OF MANUFACTURE
The purchaser is advised approximately two weeks prior to manufacture completion. A final invoice is issued and the balance is required to be paid in full prior to delivery.
6. DELIVERY / COLLECTION
